On Wednesday, May 15th we began our unit on Ponds. We will be learning about pond life, habitats, life cycles, and much much more.

This week is a full week of classes for the students - we will be very busy this week.

In Math we are learning about shapes and objects.  There are lots of hands on activities in this unit.  We will still be revisiting some of the outcomes on addition & subtraction based on the results from the post-assessment.

In writing we are working on completing an independent piece of writing.  Students will write, edit and publish this week and we will have an author celebration on Friday.

For reading we are really pushing comprehension. Some students are really struggling with this.  There is a website on our teacher page where students can practice this type of activity on-line from home.

Jump Rope for Heart - pledges should be sent to school Tuesday or Wednesday.  Our jump day is on Friday in the tennis court at noon.

Sunny Weather - now that it is warmer weather students need to be dressing for that type of weather.  Hats are a good idea to keep the sun off.  Also, students should not be wearing tank tops.

Book Talks - we still have a few more to present.  Watch for more pictures.

BINGO Card - Have your seen the activity bingo card in your child's homework duotang?  If you did not get one please let us know.

Show What You Know -  we will be sending these home with the math post-assessment for addition & subtraction to 100 and the rubric on the book talk.

French Immersion Form - remember these are due by May 17th.

Celebration of the Arts - this is Wednesday evening.  Students in K-2 choir & violin will be performing.
